Are you facing problem in youtube phone verification? Are you unable to lift youtube channel feature restrictions? When you provide phone number you get this error, “There was a problem sending a verification code to provided phone number. Please enter a different phone number.” You provide different phone number but you get same error. Here is the fix.
I tried 3 different phone numbers. But I got same issue. Google says: One phone number can be used to verify two channels per year. I used live chat and communicated this issue with youtube support team. They requested screenshot and video recording. I provided that. They said they are looking into this issue and will respond when they find solution.
So what is the solution?
- Try clearing browser cache
- Try different web browser
- Use call option to get verification code and see if your issue resolves
- Change phone number. Use a phone number that is not used to verify youtube channel yet
- If you are in Pakistan, do not use Jazz or uFone phone number. Use Telenor phone number
I tried Jazz and uFone but I had same issue. Then I had to get new Telenor SIM, to just solve this issue. New Telenor phone number solved this issue for me. So use Telenor phone number to fix the issue if you are in Pakistan. My channel is verified now.
Channel verification is necessary because then you will be able to:
– Upload videos longer than 15 minutes
– Use custom thumbnails (very important)
– You will be able to do live stream
